Heather (ex-Qld Police Officer) stood up for the community of Carbrook and Mount Cotton at a Rally in July 2008 when then Police Minister Judy Spence decided to relocate Dennis Ferguson (repeat paedophile) in the area. She felt a need to speak out in support of her family and community despite the possibility of jeopardising her job. She also presented the Police Minister with a petition of signatures requesting the Government relocate Ferguson from Carbrook and suggested alternative accommodation arrangements along with requesting a change in legislation. It is from this that she decided to further her stance and establish "Little Angels Foundation" in protection of her family and children and to advocate against paedophiles, child murderers, child abuse/neglect and sex offenders.
She now continues this fight working towards better protection of children, improved legislation and safeguards for child victims.
