PORTER, Stephen Bruce "stinky rapist"	43 yo. Sentenced to 15 yo jail 17/01/08 (upheld in CA) after being found guilty of 8 offences including 3 counts of rape, 1 of deprivation of liberty. "Stinky rapist" Raped a 19 yo old girl 3 times in her home. Victim believed she was going to be murdered during the ordeal, was also bound and blindfolded. Forced the victim to perform oral sex and then he performed oral sex on her and raped her. Victim suffered brusing and cuts during the prolonged attack. Porter forced the victim into the shower and washed her in a bid to cover his tracks. Also stole money and soiled sheets and t-shirts before fleeing. Porter knocked on victim's door asking for directions. Victim noticed he reeked of body odour and marijuana. He returned some time later and broke into her home. Victim recognised the foul combination of smells and identified Porter from photographs. Scientific tests found Porter's sperm on the victim's body and underwear. Defence barrister Paul Richards laughed at the victim during cross-examination, used 'baseless' lies claiming the victim was drug addict and that she invited Porter into her home to have mutual sex. Defence barrister Paul Richards told the court his client had no "capacity to focus'' because he was a member of Australia's indigenous stolen generation and was removed from his family as a child. Mr Richards told the court Porter had spent his formative years being passed around foster families and boys' homes and that this had impaired his ability to make rational decisions. Pleaded guilty on 17.9.10 to using a carriage service to groom a child under 16 for sexual purposes and 4 counts of using the internet to expose a child to indecent matter and using the internet to procure a child for sexual activity.
