Unfortunately, all too often, the legal system let down child victims treating them as little more than witnesses. The victim and his/her family are rarely involved in any of the decision making processes including reduction or withdrawal of charges, whether to run the matter to trial or accept the defence plea bargain and proposed submissions regarding any penalties for the offender.
The Service offered by CREST Lawyers will allow child victims of any criminal offence to have access to their own independent legal advice to ensure the matter is handled correctly and with the best interests of the child in mind.
